Duffy, the Irish Terrier rescue dog, showed great excitement, ran around and wagged his tail after having his eye bandage removed and reunited with his beloved family.
Not long after, Duffy had eye surgery because of diabetes. That makes its body very weak from the age of 8 until blind. Duffy's family was deeply saddened as they watched their partner go through such a dire period. However, Duffy's family could not cope with the dog's illness. Duffy's family opted for surgery and eye treatment for their dog. It costs a whopping 5,000 dollars (about 160,000 baht), but the Duffy family isn't worried about the cost. They just want to see their dog happily live again. Treatment begins with managing symptoms and maintaining blood sugar. Once the sugar level is stable, Duffy should be able to enter the surgery.
Duffy started showing signs of diabetes by urinating around the house. Then the family examined him and found out he had diabetes. According to pet health statistics, 75 percent of dogs with diabetes are blind from cataracts. Symptoms usually begin within a year of diagnosis. This fact is evident from Duffy, who goes blind only 3 to 5 weeks and then becomes completely blind.
Despite going through some terrible incidents, Duffy was finally able to see the world clearly. With love from my own family
